About Toadally Ice
Upon graduation from high school in 2010 Garrett Combs purchased a shaved ice trailer and began to operate the Frigid Frog as a means to pay for his college education. Originally this enterprise was located in Arkansas where Garrett was attending school. In 2011 he moved the trailer to a permanent location on N. Tarrant Parkway in Northeast Ft. Worth and his mother Melanie McCray joined him as a business partner. Melanie is a science teacher for Keller ISD.
They operated the business in this location through the summer season of 2014. During that summer Garrett began construction and completed a food truck designed to serve shaved ice and other frozen / refrigerated treats. Upon completing the food truck project Garrett and Melanie were able to launch this new phase of business at the Fort Worth Food Truck Park and a number of events.
In early 2015 the Frigid Frog Trailer was sold and the new focus will be devoted to the Toadally Ice Food Truck.
